Supporting our Voices, Empowering Rights and Indigenous Governance (SOVEREIGN) will be holding its first general membership meeting November 20 from 10 a.m. - noon.
When: November is the month set aside to celebrate Indigenous heritage
What: The month recognizes the culture, traditions, and contributions of Native Americans, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and affiliated Island communities
Why: The month was created to educate the public about the history and culture of Indigenous peoples, and to acknowledge their contributions to the United States
